Toba children at school in Argentina

Argentina

Nestled in the heart of the Chaco province, our unwavering commitment extends far and wide, reaching out to vulnerable children and families belonging to the indigenous Toba minority group. Within this region, our Nam Qom preschool stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity, offering a unique educational experience that embraces both Spanish and the native language of the children.

Since our humble establishment in 1972, we have tirelessly worked to make a profound and lasting impact in the lives of those we serve. From the outset, our mission has been to provide not just education, but empowerment, equipping young minds with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Over the years, our efforts have borne fruit in myriad ways. We’ve gone beyond the classroom, ensuring that each child has access to essential school materials, enriching their learning journey and opening doors to brighter futures. Additionally, we’ve pioneered vocational training opportunities, helping young adults acquire valuable skills that enhance their employability and economic independence.

Yet, our commitment doesn’t end there. In 1990, we achieved a significant milestone by inaugurating the first-ever health center dedicated to serving the Toba people in Argentina. This vital facility has since become a lifeline for approximately 15,000 individuals, providing free healthcare services and addressing the pressing medical needs of the community.

As we look to the future, our resolve remains steadfast. We continue to stand by our mission, driven by the belief that every child deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. With each passing day, we reaffirm our commitment to making a positive and enduring impact in the lives of those we are privileged to serve.
