1958: Erik Gunnar Eriksson enrolls in Bible School in Örebro, Sweden.

1964: First Kärrsjö, Sweden conference.
1966: Tent Mission, Sweden is formed, starting activities worldwide.

1970: Humanitarian actions begin, founding orphanage in Brazil.
1971: Bible schools in Kenya and Uganda initiated.
1974: First kindergarten in Kenya established.
1976: Chaco, Argentina village development program starts.
1978: Founder Eriksson becomes honorary citizen of Brazil.
1979: Tent Mission becomes Star of Hope for social activities.

1981: Tent Mission gets SIDA funding for global operations.
1984: Star of Hope in Norway is formed.
1987: Star of Hope International, America, Inc incorporated.
1988: Aid mission rescues thousands in Fugnido, Sudan.
1989: Star of Hope in Finland is formed.

1993: Work begins among children from Chernobyl radiation area.
1998: First international relief organization in China after flood.
1999: Eriksson awarded Swedish King’s Medal.

2000: Award for work among Romania’s disabled children.
2002: Star of Hope America moves to Ellinwood Kansas.
2003: First Swedish aid organization on the ground in Iraq War.
2004-2005: Tsunami disaster response in the Philippines and Indonesia.
2005: Humanitarian deliveries begin in Lithuania.
2006: Typhoon Durian relief aid in the Philippines.
2008: Extensive relief aid in Haiti, hurricane response.
2008:The United States Patent and Trademark Office granted a certificate of Registration for the name Star of Hope International.
2009: Star of Hope School in Taytay, Philippines used for relief aid.

2010: Haiti earthquake assistance, rebuilding schools, water projects.
2010: The United States Patent and Trademark Office granted a certificate of Registration for the name Star of Hope,

2011: Relief aid to refugees in northern Kenya.
2011: Star of Hope America started to work with Jehova Sama, Mexico
2012: Capital improvements in Haiti.
2013: Development director Lennart Eriksson receives “Star of Romania.”
2014: Star of Hope becomes a unique voice for the Roma people.
2015: Resource centers open in Romania for the Roma people.
2016: Five resource centers open in Romania.
2017: Two new resource centers for Roma children in Romania.
2018: Awana International partnership in Haiti, wells drilled.
2018: The United States Patent and Trademark Office granted an extension for the certificate of Registration for the name Star of Hope International.
2018: The United States Patent and Trademark Office granted an extension for the certificate of Registration for the name Star of Hope.

2019: Awana International partnership starts in Ghana.

2020: COVID-19 pandemic challenges, projects remain operational.
2021: Challenges in global trade networks, continued projects.
2022: Star of Hope aids Ukrainian refugees in Romania, projects persist.
2023: Re-establishing programs amidst global challenges, operations persist despite difficulties in Haiti.
