Board of Directors

Star of Hope International, America, is governed by a volunteer board of directors, the majority of whom are independent. Directors serve a three-year term and strive to make decisions that are in the best interest of the children served around the world as well as the donors.

Rodica Malos, MS, ANP, DNP

Rodica joined the Board after many years of involvement, especially through her work with Star of Hope Romania. Residing in Gresham, OR, Rodica, a Doctor of Nursing Practice with various licenses, is a welcome addition to our Board.

Rodica is also the owner and operator of two adult foster homes and residential care facilities. In the past, she was actively involved with “Daily Bread for Orphans in Romania” from 1993-2000 and “ICMP” in Bucharest, Romania.

Fluent in Romanian, Rodica is deeply interested in the evangelical movement happening in Romania and aims to be a conduit for expediting and broadening that work.

Erik Lennart Eriksson

Lennart Eriksson is the Founder, CEO & President of Star of Hope International, the umbrella group that all Star of Hope organizations worldwide cooperate.

Lennart is the visionary and leader of Tent Mission, the evangelical arm of Star of Hope. Kevin Huff

Kevin Huff is an accomplished, seasoned telecom veteran who left the industry to start a leadership and sales effectiveness company. In 2008, he founded Training To Go with one idea in mind: to change the game of corporate training. Breaking the chains of traditional training, Training To Go doubled in size in the first year under Kevin’s customer-focused approach. At the end of a second explosive-growth year, Kevin sold Training To Go to Sales Artists, becoming the CEO (or, as he prefers, the Chief Experience Officer) of the new combined entity.

Kevin brings a wealth of sales, marketing, and training experience to Sales Artists. Having held key leadership positions in Marketing and Sales for several Fortune 500 companies, he has trained over 15,000 salespeople, taught both “Training & Development” and “Sales Effectiveness” courses at Harrison College, and speaks internationally on Sales, Business, and Training.

Kevin also serves as Vice-chairman for Cornerstone Pastor’s Network and has a heart for pastors serving in smaller (<500) churches across the globe.

Ulrika Kallin

Ulrika is the CEO of Star of Hope Sweden, “Hoppets Stjarna.” She has led many new processes in the Star of Hope family after taking the helm. Primarily, all her work has led to greater efficiency both in funding and project countries. Ulrika, the mother of 3 boys and daughter of Star of Hope’s founder, is also a singer in her spare time, loving to sing worship songs wherever she can.

Kay Metsger, RN, BSN

Ms. Kay Metsger, RN BSN, of Fairview, Oregon, is a driving force for the board members both in networking and in the Word of God. She helps guide the organization in the Pacific Northwest to assist Star of Hope in the pursuit of its mission.

A graduate of the University of Oregon School of Nursing, Ms. Metsger brings her extensive education and work experience in the health field to the board.
